Our Team

Andre Finn

Chief Strategy Officer

Andre has an extensive track record of driving change in the Lloyds Market through the provision of disruptive technology for positive change.  In 2004 he founded Sciemus which became the largest Satellite insurer in the world. The company used advanced modelling in partnership with the research arm of the Ministry of Defence that revolutionised risk selection and profitability in this sector. As a Managed General Agent, Sciemus made Lloyds the centre of excellence for global satellite insurance and over a 10-year period paid only one claim collecting $400m of premium income over a 10-year period with claims of less than $20m during the period. In 2015, Sciemus was named global technology insurer in the world.

Simon has chaired international conferences, been an editor for several academic journals, is on the governing body for the Stan probabilistic programming language and been president of the International Society of Information Fusion, the professional body for research and development related to aggregating information from disparate data sources.
